GMU: Data Breach

GMU: Data Breach is a game designed in one semester in the fall of 2020. It’s a puzzle action platformer inspired by the classic arcade game Mr. Driller: Drill Land, developed by Bandai Namco. The characters are inspired by the world of George Mason University – the star-studded mascot, the tired student, the mad professor, and the food delivery robot are all playable characters in this university-inspired game. As it was developed during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the gameplay is about the players avoiding virus blocks as well as other hazards in order to save the student’s paper from being lost forever.

I was able to design the UI during the gameplay portion of the game. As a member of the art team, I helped develop different backgrounds inspired by areas on the George Mason University campus and gave input as to how others could improve their pieces.
